We went to visit Joe and Shelli Dobbins in Pocatello, ID from Aug. 4-11. We stayed at their house and took over Denton's room while we were there. The weather up there was perfect. Every day we would take Denton and Myah outside to play. The apple trees were blooming and it was nice to just talk and relax. Joe and Shelli took us to Lava River while we were there. We were able to tube down the river which is actually quicker moving than expected. There are natural hot pools along side the river as you tube and we got out a few times to sit in those. By the end of the day we were all a little scratched up from the lava rock. I got stuck at the bottom of the first water fall and was sitting in churning water. Brooks had to come and rescue me. What a good husband!
We also took a day trip up to Yellowstone while we were there. It was a long drive for a day trip, but we had fun. We saw tons of geyers (maybe a few too many according to Brooks) and quite a bit a wildlife. We also stopped and barbequed hot dogs for lunch. We were glad Joe & Shelli were able to come with us. The traffic around Yellowstone is crazy especially when someone spots any form of wildlife. Traffic is at a stand still trying to get by that area. We also saw some gigantic water falls.
Brooks is hoping to go back sometime in the winter for a snowboarding trip.

California Trip

Donelle came down from BYU for a few weeks to visit in the summer. We went to eat lunch at Sweet Tomatoes one afternoon and randomly decided to drive to California that night. I ran home to grab my stuff and we left a few hours later. What a bunch of crazy girls. We stayed right by Knott's Berry farm and got tickets into the park as part of the package. We started out the day at Knott's. It wasn't very busy so we blew through a bunch of rides pretty quickly. Tannis and I headed over to the water park in the middle of the day and I had a blast over there. They have some pretty intense water slides and rides over there. Then we went back to Knott's in the evening for more fun. It was a quick trip, but lots of fun!

Donelle and Tannis introduced to Dippin Dots...different than I expected, but I liked them.
