Mason is Home

Mason arrived home from his mission on March 9. The airport was pure chaos with all those kids running around, but we somehow made it through. All the kids were super excited to see Uncle Mason.

While waiting for Mason to arrive, Elliot took my phone to show off his mad Angry Birds skills. We got smart phones a month ago and this kid knows more about it already than I do.

Back at the house, Elliot once again found someone playing a game on their phone. Not only does he love to play, but he loves to watch too.

While all the adults were inside talking, the kids enjoyed the weather outside. Landon even created his own version of ping pong.

And, once again, the kids are drawn to technology. Someone handed over their IPad and they sat playing games on that for an hour probably.

Landon Quotes

While snuggling into his blanket for the night, Landon said, "Hey Mom! If you tuck your blanket like this... and like this..., it will give you hugs while you are sleeping. I like hugs while I am sleeping."

I told the boys a story about prayer before bed. Landon sat up, put his hand over his heart and said, "When I feel Heavenly Father in my heart, I can only hear Jesus a little bit."

In Primary we sang one of the Article of Faith songs. As soon as it was over, Landon practically yelled to the chorister, "That was a short song!"

In preschool, lots of the kids have a nose picking problem and they talk about not picking their nose on a frequent basis. I think it is sinking in for Landon. His teacher said he marched into class, sat down on his carpet square and announced, "I'm not even going to pick my nose today!"

While driving in the car one night, Landon said, "Hey Elliot, did you know Jesus made the stars." Elliot thought about it for a second and said, "Well, I never heard that before, but I liked when you said that."

Some of the most common phrases I hear from him are:

That doesn't make any sense!
Suuuuper big!
It's just a little bit big.

Max and Kelsey Get Married

Max and Kelsey got married on February 3. The wedding was short and simple and they are happy as can be! We had lots of family in town for the big day.

Katie came for the wedding and we enjoyed hanging out while she had a few days here.

Mom did a Harry Potter themed dessert table at the luncheon. Max and Kelsey loved it and it was a big hit with everyone.

Heidi made this dress for Audrey to wear at the reception. She was so adorable in it!

Flat Iron

Chereese and I at the top

While everyone was in town for the wedding, we headed out for a hike. I have been wanting to hike Flat Iron since we moved here, but it hadn't happened yet. It was a beautiful day for a hike.

This is about half way up. The trail is fairly easy up to this point, but then it changes and the trail goes straight up.
