May/June/July

Our summer in Arizona started with Brooks studying for the bar. I didn't realize exactly what "studying for the bar" entailed, but I soon figured out it wasn't good. He took a break everyday to swim with us for 30 minutes or so and eat dinner. It was like two months straight of finals. Luckily the boys and I had the pool and family to entertain us while he was so busy. It has taken me the whole summer to adjust to the idea of being here and I am still adjusting in some ways. Hopefully the cooler weather coming soon will help with that. There are so many things I love about Arizona, but lots of things I miss still about Spokane.
After a long summer of studying for the bar, Brooks and I were able to leave the kids and go to Zion National Park. It was an amazing place. We hiked the Narrows, Angels Landing and Hidden Canyon. We loved it all!

Sunglasses are a necessity in the sunny state of Arizona.

We swam....a lot....this summer! The kids went from being scared to get their toes wet to jumping off the diving board with no floaties in a matter of months.

We took quite a few trips to the cabin and spent a lot of time with family as well. It has been fun for the boys to spend so much time with their cousins.

We survived the summer monsoons and realized, once again, how amazing they actually are.

The boys and I traveled to Utah for my family reunion. Brooks took the bar while we were gone. We missed him!

We got back from Spokane just in time for Donelle's wedding. - May 2011 -

We got to meet Audrey for the first time and be here when Jamison was born too.

We played in the irrigation a few times.

We went on hikes.

Brooks studied full time (plus some) for two months straight. He sat at a desk and stared at these books all day. It was a great day for all of us when it was finally over!
