Halloween

Every year we go to Grandma Reeses the Monday before Halloween for an FHE Halloween party. This was Dallin's first time actually being interested in the annual fish pond event. There are little toys in the fish pond that all the kids love. Mike, Paulette, Fern & John celebrated Halloween with us. Fern was thrilled to be here for the big event. John wanted to be on the tractor (the party is in Grandpa's barn) all night long and wouldn't budge from his spot.

Havasupai

Brooks and I went to Havasupai with my family for a few days. I took the helicopter down on Monday morning while Brooks ran down the mountain...seriously! The helicopter only runs certain days, so we had to go a day earlier than my family. I waited for him in the town, but I didn't have to wait that long. He ran the 8 miles in about 1 and 1/2 hours. Crazy! The helicopter took his bag which made it a little easier, but still, he is insane. I took the helicopter because of the whole being pregnant thing. It was actually a really neat thing to try. I got Indian fry bread in the village and it was ready just about the time Brooks got to town. We ate and then walked the last two miles together down to the campsite. My family, Garth, Susan, Emily, Ruth, Tyler and Andrea all met us down there on Tuesday.

Once we got down there, we found a nice little camping site and tried to save space for the rest of the family for when they showed up the next day. There was barely anyone else down there which was very nice for us. The weather was really nice, but it was almost too cold to get in the water. Brooks had a great time playing with the camera and trying to change the shutter speed to take pictures of the waterfalls. He got some great pictures.

One of the days, we all went down to Mooney Falls. The trek down to the falls is steep and is very scary. I did make it, but it scares me every time. Just a 1/2 mile or so past Mooney Falls is a rope swing to play on. We all walked down there and had fun doing tricks and jumping off the rope. Brooks mastered doing a back flip and a few other crazy tricks off the swing. Even Chereese and Emily took a few turns.

Brooks also had fun doing some cliff jumping especially at Navajo Falls. I got a great picture of him jumping! He is horizontal to the waterfall. Michael, Ruth and Tyler followed him up and jumped as well. We all had a great time.
