Early December

We spent the first couple weeks of December in Spokane while Brooks had finals. The boys and I tried to stay busy while Brooks was gone long hours studying. Even though we were leaving for Christmas, I decided to set up the Christmas tree. I thought the boys would love having the tree up, but they were only mildly interested.

Late November and early December brought more snow too. We spent quite a few days watching it fall from the front window and trying to find stuff to do inside.

This is our back patio. It was interesting to watch the snow pile up on the railing and see how much had fallen.

I set out this wood nativity set from the Philippines for the boys to play with. They lost Baby Jesus within two days. Hopefully we can find him when we put all the Christmas stuff away.

We also decorated gingerbread houses. Most of the kids had a short attention span and the moms ended up doing the whole thing, but Landon loved it. He loved the candy cane kisses most and decorated the whole "lawn" with them.

When the snow stopped and it warmed up a touch, I helped the boys build a snowman. They enjoyed it, but kept asking if they could knock it over when we were done. Landon discovered the art of eating snow on this trip outside.

Mobius with Dad

We got our passes to Mobius again this year and have gone a few times. The kids love being able to have room to run and play inside since it is too cold for the park now. Brooks was able to meet us there and see the kids in action. It is a small kids museum, but perfect for them.

Downtown Snow

Although the snow wreaks havoc on Spokane and I practically banish myself indoors, it sure is pretty. Brooks took these shots downtown and around the school.

Snowing Cats and Dogs

November was a record breaking month for snow in Spokane. It snowed 25 inches which beat the old record from the 1890's. Crazy. These first few pictures were taken the morning after the first snow. There was barely enough to play in. Little did we know what was to come.

Once There Was a Snowman is one of Landon's favorite songs. He was pretty excited to build a snowman even if it was a little small.

After a couple more days of snow, we went out and played again. They don't like being cold, but as long as they have gloves on they enjoy it. These pictures were taken after a few days of snow. It just kept piling up after this.

Fall...Come and Gone

These pictures were taken about a month ago. Our yard no longer looks like this. It is covered with snow now, but we sure had fun with these leaves while it lasted.
