Pumpkin Carving

We carved a pumpkin with the boys. They didn't help much, but loved watching.

Trip to AZ

The boys and I got to take a trip to Arizona for a week and a half. This was my first time traveling with them completely by myself and the first time they got the concept of going on an airplane. They did awesome on both flights. Brooks stayed home and got a bunch of stuff done for school.

This dinosaur was a big hit at my parents' house. It roared and moved like a real dinosaur would. The kids couldn't decide whether to love it or be scared of it.

I forgot how hot Arizona is in October. I was sweating the whole time, but it was nice to take advantage of the warm weather and head to the pool/splash pad a few times.

Brooks' grandpa built this train and we got to ride on it a couple times on our trip. The first time Landon wouldn't ride it alone, but the second time he loved it. Elliot loved it from the start.

We went to dinner a few times on the trip, sometimes with good results from the kids and sometimes with not so great results.

One night we took the kids over to the Pumpkin Festival at Schnepf Farms. They watched the pig races, played on the wooden train and rode the carousel, the bumblebee and the airplanes. They asked to go on the airplane over and over again. It was definitely their favorite.

Emery had her birthday party while we were there. I didn't get any pictures of Emery at the party, but I did get some pictures of the kids playing with chalk at the party. They all loved it. After the party at the park, we went to ride the train again.

I left the kids with their grandma and headed to Christopher Creek with family for the day. We had fun jumping in the water and soaking in the sun.

I had a girls night with Heidi, Taryn and Kelley which is always a favorite when I come to town.

On our last day there, the weather was perfect so we went to the zoo. We had lots of fun and the kids actually understood it a little this time.

The petting zoo was the highlight of the trip for them. They kept walking up to the goats and saying, "Hi, goats."

I love this shot. Landon does this with animals. He sits down by them and gets right in their face.

The airline we flew on, loads the plane from a ladder. This was great for the boys because they could see that we were walking onto the plane.

Little Artists

I pulled out some stamps, glitter and paint and the boys loved it. We don't do this often since it makes such a mess, but I guess I need to get the art stuff out more often.
