Landon's latest obsession is hats or anything he can put on his head to act as a hat. This particular piece was a beanie that started with a small hole in the top. After wearing it for a few days, the hole got bigger and bigger. He wore this thing around a few times and it started unraveling more as the days went by. He even took it with him on a trip up north to the cabin. There is proof of that in a picture further down in this post.
March was a month full of highs and lows for us. We started the month out with Brooks still working hard at his own firm and ended the month with a job offer at a firm in Phoenix. He was doing great with his business and picking up new clients on a daily basis, but it takes time to grow. We were wondering how long it would be before we were able to move into our place and have a steady income. During the previous few months, he had been applying to jobs on and off but nothing ever materialized. The last week of the March, he found out he got this job. It was a big stress relief for us all and we are incredibly grateful for the ways we have been blessed.
March is the last month of really nice weather in Phoenix and this March did not disappoint. We had mildly warm days and even a few storms. This particular day, an amazing rainbow showed up as we drove home from church. Landon went outside in the misty rain to ride his bike when we got home. I went out to check on him and he told me, "This is a BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL place and I really like this place." It was a beautiful day and I love that he noticed it.

Landon and Elliot started preschool in February and since then, they have been much more interested in art projects. Their coloring skills are improving big time. They get to paint in preschool fairly often, and are getting good at that too. We pulled out the watercolors at home and let them go for it. I think Landon ended up with every inch of that paper colored bright blue.
Gateway Airport had an aviation day we took the kids to. There were lots of planes to look at, activities for the kids, firetrucks to check out and we even got to watch a helicopter take up. They were mesmerized by that. Sterling, Taryn and Ian came with us and we snapped this cute shot of Elliot with Ian. I am glad the boys have cousins so close by now.
Landon was beat by the end of the day. Looking a airplanes in the hot sun is exhausting.
The kids helped me wash the car which mostly included them filling up their bucket, getting each other wet and watering the weeds. They had a blast.
One morning I went out to help my mom with yard work. The boys came too. Elliot got bored pretty quickly, but Landon stayed out there the whole time. Nana gave him his own shovel and he helped dig in the dirt, look for worms, load weeds into the garbage and dig some more. This kids LOVES being outside.
I celebrated my 31st birthday at the end of March. I went to breakfast at Liberty Market with Mom, then grabbed my free food to go at Joe's BBQ and then Mom and I met Heidi, Amerae and Kelsey at Joe's Farm Grill for lunch. Brooks and I went out together that night too. It was a good day.
The last weekend in March we headed to the cabin with Grandpa and Grandpa and Uncle Mason. We spent a lot of time outdoors at the park, flying kites and watching the kids ride bikes on the porch. And, Landon brought his hat along too.
