Christmas Festivities

Christmas Eve Brunch

We started out the celebrations by having a brunch at the Crandell's. We ate yummy food and then the kids opened their gifts from Grandma and Grandpa. Sterling and Taryn gave us some Rudy's BBQ sauce, which Brooks was very excited about.

This is the first gift they opened this Christmas season. After this gift, they started to get the concept of opening gifts a bit more.

Landon and Elliot got a Geo Trax train set from Grandpa and Grandma. All the boys were interested in the train set.

Christmas Morning

We spent Christmas morning with my family opening gifts and having breakfast together. It was the first time since I got married that we have all been together for opening gifts Christmas morning. Landon and Elliot were pretty clueless about Santa, but they still enjoyed opening new toys.

About half way through the morning, Brooks started feeling sick. He was sick the rest of the day and then Landon started acting sick as well. The stomach flu started with Steven in Washington and then worked itself around to the whole family once they got to Arizona. Elliot and I had it a few days earlier, but Brooks and Landon were the lucky ones to be sick on Christmas.

Cabin Trips

We were supposed to go to the cabin Christmas Day, but didn't make it because of Landon and Brooks being sick. We headed up there the day after Christmas and stayed a few days. Mason had our name for the sibling exchange and had For New Years we went back to the cabin and Brooks got to snowboard for his birthday. Once of the days, we bundled the kids up to play out back in the snow. Then on the way home, we stopped to take the kids sledding. We found a tiny mound of snow, just their size, to play on. Elliot hated it unless I went with him, but Landon seemed to like it.
