This post is a couple weeks past due, but at least I am getting to it. I took the boys to the doctor for their well visit and here are their current stats.
Landon
Weight: 24 lb 5 oz (43%)
Height: 31 and 1/4 inches (50%)
Head: 18.8 inches (61%)
Elliot
Weight: 21 lb 10 oz (11%)
Height: 31 and 1/2 inches (65%)
Head: 18.8 inches (61%)
The funniest part about the difference in weight between the two boys is that Landon barely eats anything and Elliot is a big eater. Landon jumped up a bunch in the charts from last time and Elliot has pretty much stayed in the 10% for weight since he was two months old. It is crazy how different they are. Both boys have recently learned how to climb and can get onto the chairs by the table rather quickly. Luckily they have only tried getting onto the table a couple of times, but I am sure there is more of that to come. I have a storage bin in their room with clothes in it and that has become one of their favorite things to climb on. I really have to keep an eye on these two. They both love being outside, taking trips to the park, swinging on the swings, being around each other, climbing all over mommy and daddy and reading books, especially the kind with pictures of animals. I have noticed recently that they are getting jealous of me spending time with or hugging the other sibling. They will try and push each other off my lap in order to get time with mom. Some of their favorite toys to play with are cars, balls, an outdoor golf club set, and an outdoor miniature car to climb all over. Elliot loves the plastic golf clubs and it is hilarious to watch him try and hit the golf balls with it. Both boys are down to one nap a day most of the time. I was still pushing for two, but they just weren't doing it anymore.

Landon is all over the place and is quite an active little boy. He loves cars and does a great car noise. He also knows what a dog says, what a snake says, what an elephant says (most of the time) and he has said "bye, bye" a few times. He is right on the verge of talking more and I can see his little brain moving when we ask him to say things. He is becoming more vocal everyday. Brooks has recently taught Landon how to jump and it is funny to watch him try and get some air. Landon is a very picky eater. If the food doesn't look good to him, he won't even try it. He clamps his lips closed and they don't open until he wants them to. He eats lots of bananas, grapes and pb & j sandwiches. He has been better lately about trying a few new things, but it is still a work in progress. Landon loves to wrestle especially with Elliot (who is not the biggest fan of wrestling) and he also loves running in circles and chasing other kids around. He loves digging in the sand/dirt, splashing in the mud and getting dirty. We went to a few different lakes and parks this week and he come home with dirt and sand in his hair everytime.
Elliot is learning new things everyday. In the past week, he learned how to use a spoon and can now feed himself yogurt, cereal and milk, applesauce and most anything else in a bowl. He just figured it out and has done great ever since. It makes a big mess, but he is actually getting a lot in his mouth and not just down his shirt. He is also talking more and seems to learn a new word almost daily. Some of the words he can say are bye, bye, dada, mama, go, Landon, car, dog, please, and ball. With his new discovery of language he is also discovering that he can express what he does or doesn't want. This is usually in the form of screaming and we are working on exploring better ways of communication with him. Lately he has been showning preference towards certain items. If I have two sippy cups, he almost always wants the one with green on it. I thought it was a fluke at first, but he has done it so many times now that I am convinced he likes the color green. He is also expressing his desires for other items as well. A few days ago, I gave Elliot and Landon a graham cracker. The crackers were exactly the same. For some reason, Elliot wanted the one I gave Landon instead of his own cracker and there was major drama about it. This new discovery of independence and being able to express his desires is a new thing around here and will take some getting used to. Elliot is extremely easy to get to laugh and we enjoy the sound of his laughter in our home.
