Saturday afternoon, Brooks and I were sitting in the front room playing with the boys. I decided to go jump in the shower. About five minutes later Brooks came in and told me the neighbors' house was on fire. They live across the street from us and four houses down. Brooks had heard a lot of noise outside and went to check it out. There was already a crowd gathering, but the firefighters were not there yet. Brooks went to talk to a few of the neighbors who were outside and found out that the family had gone to the state fair for the day. No one was home. Good because no one was hurt, but bad because the fire wasn't able to be spotted early. There was smoke pouring out of the house for about 10 minutes before the fire trucks arrived and then burned a few minutes more before they started putting it out. I have never seen a house on fire like that. How horrible to come home to your house in flames.

Oh my! How terrible!
That is too bad for your neighbors. It looks like you guys are keeping busy and having lots of Gonzaga fun!
That's just awful! When we were in Ohio, there was a store on Main Street that burned down. It was terrible to see the fire out of control and they weren't able to save the building. We were just glad that no one was hurt, but a there were a few students that lived in apartments above the store and they lost everything.
